James Favero

James is a Principal with WhiteHorse Capital. As a senior investment professional, he is responsible for all aspects of the investment process, including sourcing, structuring, and executing middle-market financings for both non-sponsored and private equity-sponsored transactions.

James has over 15 years of experience in private credit, equity and opportunistic investing across a broad range of industries. Based in Dallas, he has primary responsibility for managing the South and Southwest regions for WhiteHorse Capital.

Prior to joining WhiteHorse, James served as a Partner at Tanoak Capital Partners, a Dallas-based private investment firm focused on lower middle market companies, and as a Director & Portfolio Manager at Crestline Investors, leading opportunistic investments across a wide range of industries. Previously, James was also an investment professional at Audax Group and Battery Ventures.

James received a Bachelor of Science in Business Management (International Finance) and Spanish from Brigham Young University.
