Derrick Chery

Derrick Chery, MSCM, serves as the General Manager for the Northeast at H. J. Russell & Company since September 2022, previously holding the position of Director of Operations. Prior to this role, Derrick was a Senior Construction Project Manager at New England Development from July 2021 to September 2022 and excelled in various capacities at Suffolk Construction from June 2014 to July 2021, including Senior Project Manager and Assistant Project Manager on significant residential projects. Derrick’s earlier experience includes key roles such as Assistant Construction Manager at Jones Lang LaSalle, Assistant Project Manager at Lee Kennedy Co., Inc., and Janey Co Inc, as well as Project / Field Engineer at Bond Brothers Inc. Derrick's career reflects a strong focus on managing large-scale construction projects, underpinned by a solid educational background with a Master’s and Bachelor’s in Construction Management from Wentworth Institute of Technology. In addition to professional endeavors, Derrick contributed as Head Coach for middle school basketball teams, fostering teamwork and discipline among young athletes.
