Ben Icke has extensive experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on design and project management. Ben is currently working as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at H2GO Power. Prior to this, they were the Lead Sustaining Engineer at Nanosonics Ltd. from November 2016 to January 2023. Before that, Ben worked as a Mechanical Design and Project Engineer at Moog Australia Pty Ltd. from July 2014 to July 2016, and as a Mechanical Design & Project Engineer at Moog Components Group from October 2010 to June 2014. Ben started their career as a Mechanical Design Engineer at United Technologies in June 2003, where they were involved in designing mechanical and electro-mechanical fire system elements for rail vehicles, aerospace, and military vehicles. Ben also worked as a Telecommunications Mechanical Design Engineer at Motorola from 2000 to 2002.
Ben Icke completed their education in 2000, when they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Engineering with Mechatronics (BEng) from the University of Surrey. Ben specialized in Mechanical Engineering during their time at the university. Additionally, in April 2003, they obtained the certification of Chartered Engineer CEng MIMechE from the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.
