Asier Rufino has held various roles in a variety of companies since 2012. Asier began their career as Managing Director of Tecnalia Ventures S.L. in 2012. In 2013, they took on the role of President at DIGIMET. In 2014, they became a Professor at Deusto Business School. In 2015, they became a Board Member at both Biokemik and Go4IT Solutions. In 2016, they became an Expert at the European Commission. In 2017, they became a Board Member at Ingredalia S.L. In 2020, they became the President at H2SITE On-site H2 recovery & generation. Finally, in 2022, they became an EIC Jury Member EIC Accelerator at the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA) as well as a Non Exec Director at Nautilus Floating Solutions.
Asier Rufino has a diverse educational background. Asier began their studies in 1993 at the Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, graduating in the top 2%. Asier then continued their studies at the same university, earning a Master in Finance in 1996-1998. In 2005-2007, they attended the London Business School, where they earned an MBA with majors in Entrepreneurship and Private Equity. During their time at the London Business School, they also attended Harvard Business School and the MIT Sloan School of Management, where they earned an MBA with a focus on Negotiation and Entrepreneurship and VC, respectively. In 1997-1998, they participated in an Erasmus program at the Université de Reims Champagne-Ardenne.
