Koivisto Satu is a thought leader and research manager who currently serves as the Director of Research and Information Services at Haaga-Helia University. Prior to their current position, Koivisto Satu worked at the Management Institute of Finland MIF Oy from May 2017 to August 2018 where they were responsible for managing projects, conducting research, training, and giving talks. Additionally, they were also responsible for academic collaboration and leading the Advisory team - a team established for bridging practice and academic work.
During their time at the Management Institute of Finland MIF Oy, Koivisto Satu worked with various themes such as bridging latest academic work with practical work and real needs of customers, developing new tools for future competence development, conceptualizing a unique leadership development program, digitalizing education, and conducting market research on education export. Under their leadership, the team was able to successfully create digitalized course material for brands such as Tieturi, MIF, Infor, and JTO.
Koivisto Satu’s experience and expertise in thought leadership and research management has made their an invaluable asset to Haaga-Helia University. Koivisto continues to provide insights and guidance that helps shape the future of the university.
Satu Koivisto has a D.Sc. (Tech.) in Leadership and Work Psychology from Aalto University, a Master of Social Sciences in Social Psychology from the University of Helsinki, and is a certified Vocational Teacher (Ammatillinen opettaja) from Haaga-Helia School of Vocational Teacher Education. Koivisto also attended Lappeenrannan Lyseon lukio.
