Ashwin Sureshkumar

Ashwin Sureshkumar is a Junior Aerodynamics Engineer at Haas F1 Team since October 2021, contributing to the Aero Physical Testing Group. Previously, Ashwin served as a Vehicle Dynamics Engineer at MMR - MoRe Modena Racing, focusing on tire and vehicle dynamics models. Ashwin developed MATLAB-based simulations for vehicle performance and held roles as an Aerodynamics Software Engineer and Intern, where VBA macros were created for legality checks on F1 car designs. Ashwin's experience includes a position as a Student Laboratory Assistant at Università degli Studi di Modena e Reggio Emilia and as a Graduate Trainee Engineer at Bajaj Auto Ltd, optimizing processes and testing methods in manufacturing. As Team Captain at Velocita Racing, Ashwin optimized vehicle dynamics and designed powertrain components. Ashwin holds a Master of Science in Advanced Automotive Engineering from the Motorvehicle University of Emilia Romagna and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research.
