James Charlesworth

James Charlesworth is an accomplished software application developer with extensive experience in the Formula One racing industry. Currently employed at MoneyGram Haas F1 Team since January 2023, James has previously held significant roles, including Senior Software Engineer at Formula 1, where a data management system was developed to enhance infrastructure efficiencies. Prior to that, James was the IT Trackside Team Leader at Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains, leading a team to improve engine lifecycle operations. Early career highlights include serving as Senior Software Engineer at MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team, where James developed multiple software applications, as well as director of software engineering at ArmourSoft, overseeing numerous software design projects. James holds a Master’s degree in Software Engineering from the University of Liverpool and several other qualifications in management and strategic development.
