Mahmood Siddique has extensive work experience in the field of Information Technology. mahmood started their career at Unisys in 1994 as an IS Manager, where they worked on various projects including banking systems and ATM networks. mahmood then worked at Cupola as the IT Head, overseeing IT activities for multiple businesses and implementing network systems and business applications.
In 1999, Siddique joined the State Bank of Pakistan as the Head of IT, leading the setup of a new IS department and recruitment of IT professionals. mahmood formulated policies and procedures for disaster recovery and business continuity planning. After leaving SBP, they joined Saudi Pak Commercial Bank as the Head of IT, responsible for setting up the IT department and implementing information system strategies.
Siddique continued their career at KASB Bank as the CIO, where they implemented a new core banking system and established a data center and disaster recovery site. mahmood later joined Barclays as the Head of IT for their Pakistan operation, overseeing infrastructure and operations setup for multiple branches and sales centers.
From 2011 to 2017, Siddique worked as the CIO for the National Bank of Pakistan, and from 2017 to 2022, they served as the CIO for the Pakistan Stock Exchange. In these roles, they played a key role in the technological revamp of both organizations, ensuring high uptime and implementing new trading and surveillance systems.
In 2022, Siddique joined GBM Pakistan as a Senior Consultant before moving on to their current position as Head of Group Information Technology, Pakistan, at Habib Bank AG Zurich.
Mahmood Siddique began their education in 1986 at the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences, where they pursued a Bachelor of Computer Science degree from 1986 to 1989. After completing their undergraduate studies, Mahmood Siddique joined Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd in 1990 to further enhance their knowledge in the field of Computer Science. mahmood pursued a Master's degree at Cardiff University from 1990 to 1991. Later, in 1993, Mahmood Siddique enrolled at IBA and pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration, which they completed in 1998.
