Syed Asif Abbas

Syed Asif Abbas is the Manager of Trade Finance at Habib Canadian Bank. Syed has over 25 years of experience in the banking industry, with the majority of their experience being in trade finance.

Syed started their career in February 1991 at Bank Al Habib Limited as a Senior Chief Manager in the Trade Finance department. In this role, they were responsible for opening and checking of import documents, booking currency forwards, issuing shipping guarantees, and preparing all messages related to the import department.

In September 2007, Syed left Bank Al Habib Limited to join Habib Canadian Bank as the Manager of Trade Finance. In this role, they are responsible for overseeing all aspects of the trade finance department, including letter of credit, import/export financing, and risk management.
