Jessica graduated from Northern Michigan University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a concentration in Human Centered Design. She has been involved with Habitat for Humanity since 2008 in some capacity – starting as a volunteer at the Marquette affiliate, spending 2 weeks in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, and then as an employee for 3 different affiliates. In October 2010, Jessica served two years of AmeriCorps – one year at Sussex County Habitat for Humanity in Georgetown, Delaware as a site supervisor and one year as a construction coordinator at Habitat for Humanity of New Castle County (NCCHFH), Delaware. After her terms ended, HFHNCC hired her on fulltime as the construction coordinator, assistant project manager and warehouse manager.
Missing the Michigan weather and family, she joined Habitat for Humanity of Michigan. She serves as the Construction Manager, supporting various programs - the prison build, priority home repair, down payment assistance, and sustainable housing programs as well as planning and educating at the HOMES Summit. Jessica has a Building Performance Institute’s Building Analyst Certification and is passionate about safe and healthy housing.
