Pip Young

Pip Young is currently the Head of Engineering at Habitual. Prior to this, they served as a software engineer at Matchbox Mobile from May 2017 to October 2020. There, they worked on a variety of IoT projects for both end users and industrial applications. They also have experience with front end applications using VueJS and mobile applications using React Native.

Before Matchbox Mobile, Pip Young was a software developer at CGG from August 2015 to April 2017. There, they worked in a worldwide team developing modules for geophysicists to process and analyse underground imagery. They also assisted with debugging existing modules, adding new features and porting old Fortran modules to C++.

Pip Young's experience also includes time as a Phd student at the University of Surrey from January 2012 to March 2016.

Pip Young completed their Master of Physics (MPhys) at the University of Sussex, where they studied physics. They then went on to earn their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in theoretical chemistry at the University of Surrey.

Their manager is Ian Braithwaite, Co-Founder & CEO. Pip Young works with Anton Wade - Lead Designer, Hanne Ockert-Axelsson - Product Lead, and Victoire de Germiny - Chief of Staff. A direct report to Pip Young is and Zeke Ayonrinde - Senior Developer.
