Paul Fairclough

Paul Fairclough currently serves as the Head of Senior School at George Heriot's School since August 2018. With extensive experience in education, Fairclough has held various roles, including Deputy Headmaster at Sedbergh School from September 2013 to August 2018 and Deputy Headmaster, Academic at Casterton Girls' Boarding School from September 2011 to August 2013. Fairclough has also contributed to the field of education as an author for multiple publishers, including Polity and Hodder Education, since 2000. In examination roles, Fairclough has been associated with AQA since May 1998, taking on several positions related to A-Level Politics and GCSE assessments. Additionally, Fairclough is a board member of the Scottish Council of Independent Schools until June 2024. Fairclough's academic background includes a PGCE from the University of York and a BA (Hons) in History and Politics from the same institution.
