Vp, IT Security Training Services at Hack The Box

Dimitrios Bougioukas has a diverse work experience in the field of IT security training services. Dimitrios is currently working at Hack The Box as the Senior Director of IT Security Training Services, a role they have held since January 2023. Prior to this, they were the Director of IT Security Training Services at the same company from February 2021 to January 2023.

Before joining Hack The Box, Bougioukas worked as an (Informal) Expert on Incident Response Technical Training at the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) starting from October 2019. In this role, they focused on strengthening Member States' CSIRTs (Computer Security Incident Response Teams) skills and capacities, providing CSIRT and IR (incident handling and response) staff with technical trainings, and developing software tools for CSIRT or IR teams.

Between 2017 and 2021, Bougioukas held various positions at eLearnSecurity, including Director of IT Security Training Services and Senior IT Security Researcher & Instructor. At eLearnSecurity, they were involved in leading and delivering IT security training services and conducting research in the field.

Prior to eLearnSecurity, Bougioukas worked at EY as part of the Advisory Services Cyber Security team from March 2016 to February 2017. Dimitrios also gained experience in the banking sector, serving as a Business Information Resilience Analyst at the National Bank of Greece from July 2014 to March 2016.

Bougioukas started their career as an Information Security Consultant at the Ministry of Defence from June 2011 to June 2012. Before that, they founded a startup called WishLuck.me in 2010 and served as its Founder until May 2012.

Their early career includes a role as a Web Developer and Information System Administrator at the Ministry of Education, General Secretariat of Lifelong Learning from April 2006 to July 2006.

Dimitrios Bougioukas holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Athens University of Economics and Business. In addition to their academic qualifications, they have obtained the Offensive Security Certified Expert (OSCE) certification from Offensive Security in January 2021.
