Software Engineer at Hack4Impact

Pranjal Mittal is a software engineer with extensive experience in robotics and machine learning. Since September 2019, Pranjal has worked at Cornell Cup Robotics, developing grip detection techniques for the semi-autonomous lab assistant robot R2-D2 and implementing a visualization module in Python. Concurrently, Pranjal has been involved with Hack4Impact, constructing a machine learning model to enhance ETA predictions for TCAT buses and achieving a classification accuracy of 92%. Additionally, Pranjal collaborates with Prof. Bharath Hariharan at Cornell University College of Engineering on few-shot model baselines and serves as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for an object-oriented programming course. Previous roles include a Software Engineer internship at Oracle, where data visualizations were created for scheduling algorithm optimizations, and a Project Intern position at Cornell Tech, which focused on fine-grained categorization of plants and animals for an augmented reality headset. Pranjal holds a Bachelor of Science degree, double majoring in Computer Science and Operations Research from Cornell Engineering.
