Chris Wiggins serves as an Associate Professor at Columbia University, specializing in applied mathematics and computational biology, with a research focus on machine learning. Since July 2001, Chris has taught various subjects including biophysical modeling and dynamical systems, and has taken on multiple advisory roles for student organizations. In addition to academic responsibilities, Chris is the Chief Data Scientist at The New York Times, leading a data science group focused on machine learning solutions. Chris is a co-founder and co-president of hackNY.org, fostering a community of student-technologists, and serves as a Senior Advisor at Bowery Capital.
