Hanne Paine

Hanne Paine is an experienced professional with a strong background in operations, engineering, and research. Currently serving as the Director of Operations at hackNY.org since April 2018, Hanne previously held roles at Google as a Student Ambassador and at Betterpath as an Engineering Intern and hackNY Fellow. Notable projects include developing a site integration with Google Maps API at Green Map System and creating image processing algorithms for NASA's MESSENGER spacecraft during internships at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. Hanne also gained experience as a Database Programmer at Stony Brook University and as a Senior Programmer in educational programming at the Christa McAuliffe Space Education Center, while actively volunteering over 1,900 hours in mentoring and counseling roles. Hanne holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Computer Science from Stony Brook University and an International Baccalaureate Diploma from West High.
