Chenyang Liang has a diverse range of work experience, starting with their current position as a Technical Program Manager at HAI ROBOTICS. Chenyang later transitioned to the role of Lead Hardware Engineer, where they designed robotic picking systems and led engineering personnel through the product development lifecycle. Chenyang also conducted structural analysis to solve design issues and reduce production unit weight.
Prior to their roles at Berkshire Grey, Chenyang gained valuable experience at Georgia Institute of Technology. From 2017 to 2019, they served as a Lead Graduate Teaching Assistant, Graduate Researcher & Lab Developer, and Robotics Engineer. Chenyang also conducted thermal analysis on YETI coolers.
In addition to their academic experience, Chenyang worked for Georgia Tech Athletic Association as the Official Mascot and Academic Tutor from 2016 to 2019. Chenyang also held positions at Georgia Institute of Technology as a Capstone Design Team Lead and an Undergraduate Researcher in Fluid Mechanics Laboratory.
Chenyang started their career as an HVAC Design Engineer Intern at RMF Engineering, Inc. in 2015. Prior to that, they worked as a Union Building Crew Member at Wisconsin Union from 2012 to 2014.
Chenyang Liang obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2017. Chenyang then pursued a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution, completing it in 2019. Prior to attending Georgia Tech, they attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2012 to 2014, where they studied Engineering Mechanics. Chenyang Liang also holds a certification in Sheet Metal from the SolidWorks Authorized Training Centre, although the specific date of when they obtained this certification is unknown.
