Morgan Harris, P.E. has a diverse work experience in the engineering and transportation sector. They started their career as an Engineering Intern Student at the Arkansas Department of Transportation in 2015, where they gained hands-on experience in inspecting construction projects. Following this, Morgan joined the same department as a Field Engineer, where they were responsible for overseeing a significant bond project and managing inspectors.
In 2016, Morgan joined the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development as an Assistant Project Engineer. During their time there, they gained experience in managing construction projects, including writing change orders, acquiring funding for emergency projects, and resolving conflicts. They also utilized their technical skills to review and approve material tests, estimates, and design overlays.
In 2017, Morgan was promoted to the role of Project Engineer at the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development. In this position, Morgan managed a team of inspectors and various construction projects totaling $50 million. They were involved in activities such as reviewing preliminary plans, moderating pre-construction meetings, and aiding in finalizing completed projects. Additionally, Morgan provided recommendations and resolved conflicts, RFIs, and CNCDs.
Most recently, Morgan joined Halff in 2023 as a Project Manager, where they continue to utilize their project management skills and expertise in the engineering field.
Morgan Harris, P.E. earned a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Louisiana Tech University. They attended the university from 2011 to 2016. In addition to their degree, Morgan also obtained an FE License from NCEES in January 2017. They later obtained a Professional Engineer (PE) certification from the Louisiana Professional Engineering and Land Surveying Board (LAPELS) in February 2021.
