Stephen Bignell

Stephen Bignell is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in engineering, technical management, and entrepreneurship. Currently serving as Co-Founder at halfloop since December 2022, Bignell focuses on innovative medical device solutions for patients. Previously, Bignell held the position of Director at Sera Technologies Ltd from January 2012 to August 2024, overseeing the development of an international B2B eCommerce lighting business and enhancing operational processes. Bignell also served as Technical Director for Verdiem from January 2006 to March 2018, leading software-based IT energy management solutions across EMEA and LTAM. Additional roles include Technical Director EMEA at ClearEdge Power, Lead Engineer at Ashtead Technology, European Engineer at Biotage, Aircraft Line Engineer at Virgin Atlantic Airways, and Aircraft Engineer at British Airways. Bignell completed vocational qualifications at Brooklands College and Oaklands College between 1995 and 2000.
