Philippe Chrétien's work experience includes a vast range of roles and responsibilities in software engineering and technology. Philippe began their career at LUQS Inc., where they worked as a Software Engineer, focusing on migrating estimation software to the .Net framework for the construction industry. Philippe then joined Alstom Power as a Software Consultant.

In 2004, Philippe worked as a Software Engineer at Nurun Inc., where they contributed to the development of the back end of a website for the Royal Canadian Mint. Philippe later became a Software Architect at Hydro-Quebec, where they were responsible for building an architecture to migrate an existing trading application to the .Net Framework.

Afterward, Philippe served as a Software Engineer at Midwest ISO, working on refactoring and maintaining the Oasis Pricing and Billing application. Philippe then joined the Commission de la construction du Québec - CCQ as a Software Engineer, leading the development of a calculation server and a security infrastructure for the organization.

At Stack8 Technologies, Philippe worked as a Software Architect before joining Mobilman as a Software Engineer. At Mobilman, they designed and programmed the back end infrastructure for the company's real-time movement tracking web portal for mobile workers.

In 2015, Philippe founded GeekOClock, successfully launching two clock projects on Kickstarter - the Fibonacci Clock and the Base4 Clock.

Currently, Philippe works as the Chief Technology Officer at Half Serious, where they design and develops full stack online applications for startups and large companies. Philippe has notably worked extensively with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to develop the server-less architecture that is part of their product offering.

Philippe Chrétien earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Mechanical Engineering & Computer Science from Polytechnique Montréal, which they attended from 1989 to 1995. Prior to that, they completed their CEGEP education in Science Pure at Bois-De-Boulogne from 1987 to 1989.
