Daya Pillay

Daya Pillay is an experienced IT professional with a career spanning over three decades. Currently retired, Daya Pillay held the position of Information Services Manager at Halifax Water from June 2012 to the present, overseeing IT infrastructure and corporate systems excluding GIS and SCADA. Prior to this role, Daya Pillay served in various managerial capacities at Halifax Regional Municipality, including Manager of Systems Development and Manager of E-Commerce and Web Services from April 2006 to June 2012, as well as Manager of Client Services from March 1995 to March 1996, focusing on Helpdesk, PC support, training, and IT consultancy. Daya Pillay began the career at Halifax County as Manager of IT from January 1993 to March 1995. Daya Pillay earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Dalhousie University between 1974 and 1978.
