Matthew E. Rechtoris

Matthew Rechtoris concentrates his practice in the defense of hospitals, medical professionals and other healthcare providers against medical negligence claims. Through his prior employment as a law clerk at HPS, Matthew has experience assisting attorneys throughout all phases of the litigation process.

During law school, Matthew was a Senior Editor of the Loyola University Chicago Law Journal and served as a Judicial Extern for Judge Jorge L. Alonso of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He developed his advocacy and legal writing skills by competing for Loyola in the National Moot Court Competition and the Appellate Lawyers Association Moot Court Competition. Matthew was also awarded the Second Place Brief at Loyola’s 2018 Intraschool Moot Court Competition and received a CALI Award of Excellence in Appellate Advocacy.
