Kaiya R. has a diverse range of work experience. Kaiya began their career as an Undergraduate Researcher at Georgia State University, where they conducted research on the effectiveness of using Virtual Reality technology in biology education and explored the relationship between alcohol and aggression in LGBTQ+ couples. Kaiya then worked as a Participant Support Agent at Omada, where they provided technical solutions and exceeded performance metrics in customer support roles. At Emory University Hospital, Kaiya served as a Student Staff Support, aiding patients with daily tasks and recording vital signs. Kaiya also gained experience as a Medical Assistant at GOODMAN DERMATOLOGY, P.C., engaging with patients, administering local anesthesia, and assisting with skin biopsy procedures. Additionally, Kaiya served as a Youth Advisory Board Member for the One Love Foundation, preparing workshops on healthy relationships and raising funds as a Keynote Speaker. Kaiya also worked as a Youth Services Advisor at Finally Set Free, spearheading youth outreach and prevention programs. Kaiya further honed their skills as a Consumer Health Intern at the American Heart Association, where they created process aides and sourced grant funding for the annual HSI Symposium. Most recently, Kaiya held the role of Ethics Intern at Wellstar Health System, conducting focus groups and literature reviews for research studies. Currently, they are working as a Customer Success Coordinator at Hallmark Health Care Solutions.

Kaiya R. attended Georgia State University from 2019 to 2023 where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biology. In addition to their degree, they earned certifications as a Design Enterprise Thinking Practitioner from IBM in March 2021 and as a Relationship Education Facilitator from the One Love Foundation in March 2021.
