Jesper Smith has extensive work experience in robotics. Jesper served as a Lead Controls Engineer at Halodi Robotics, focusing on the implementation and development of control algorithms for the humanoid robot Eve. Jesper also worked on low-level embedded software, simulation of Eve, and VR interfaces for remote control. Prior to that, they were a Control System Engineer at IHMC, where they played a key role in the Darpa Robotics Challenge and contributed to projects with NASA and Sandia National Laboratories. Their areas of expertise include high-speed data logging, remote control protocols, realtime control architecture, and control algorithm development.
Jesper Smith completed their Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in mechanical engineering from Delft University of Technology. Jesper pursued their education in this field from 2005 to 2012.
