Rod Planchon

Rod Planchon is a seasoned professional in the field of quality control within the biopharmaceutical and pharmaceutical industries. Currently serving as the Senior Manager of Quality Control for External CDMO at Halozyme, Inc. since April 2020, Rod oversees all QC activities and conducts technical reviews of QC data related to in-process, release, and stability testing for drug substances and drug products. Prior experience includes roles as a Scientist in Quality Control at Ajinomoto Bio-Pharma Services and PaxVax, Inc., and a Scientist providing manufacturing technical support at Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals. Rod's extensive background also encompasses significant contributions to drug characterization and stability testing using advanced analytical techniques such as HPLC and LC/MS during tenure at Vical and other organizations. Rod holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from California State University, Fullerton, completed in 2000.
