Nadir Durrani has a diverse work experience in the field of research and computing. Nadir started their career as a Research Officer at STEA-Laos in 2005, followed by a Research Officer position at NUCES from 2004 to 2007. In 2008, they joined the University of Stuttgart as a Doctoral Student, where they stayed until 2012. During this time, they also worked as a Research Intern at IBM for a few months in 2012. After completing their doctoral studies, they moved to the University of Edinburgh as a Postdoctoral Research Associate from 2012 to 2014. Since 2014, Nadir has been working at the Qatar Computing Research Institute, initially as a Scientist and later promoted to the role of Senior Scientist.
Nadir Durrani has a diverse education history. Nadir completed their secondary and higher secondary education at Pakistan International School Riyadh from 1997 to 2000, studying pre-engineering. Afterward, they attended the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences from 2000 to 2004, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. Continuing their education, Nadir pursued a Master of Science degree in NLP - Computer Science at the same university from 2005 to 2007. Lastly, they enrolled at the University of Stuttgart from 2008 to 2012, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Natural Language Processing.
