Joe Barnes Pe

Joe Barnes, PE has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Joe started their career as an Electrical Engineer at Bolden Engineers in 1998 and worked there until 2000.

In 2000, they joined UL as a Project Engineer and contributed until 2002.

Following that, Joe joined Hamilton Beach Brands Inc. in 2002 and worked as a Senior Staff Engineer until 2010. Joe then transitioned to the role of Senior Quality Engineer from 2010 to 2012.

Currently, Joe holds the position of Group Manager, Global Sourcing at Hamilton Beach Brands Inc. since 2012.

Joe Barnes, PE has an extensive educational background. In 1992, they began their undergraduate studies at Mercer University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering. Joe completed their degree in 1998.

After gaining valuable professional experience, Joe decided to further their education and attended Virginia Commonwealth University - School of Business from 2007 to 2009. During this time, they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. Unfortunately, no specific field of study was provided for their MBA.

In addition to their degrees, Joe has obtained several certifications. In December 2004, they earned the Professional Engineer (PE) certification from the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation. This certification showcases their expertise and demonstrates their commitment to professional standards.

Recently, Joe has pursued additional certifications related to Lean Principles and Lean Six Sigma. In March 2021, they obtained the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (ICGB) certification from Purdue University. Additionally, in November 2021, they obtained the Lean Principles certification, also from Purdue University.
