Brian Belfry

Brian Belfry is an experienced content editor and NewsGate expert at The Hamilton Spectator, where employment began in November 2017. Prior to this role, Brian served as a Senior Copy Editor overseeing NewsGate software training and troubleshooting issues at both the Waterloo Region Record and Hamilton Spectator from 1999 to October 2017. Brian has a strong background in copy editing, layout design, and writing, having worked as a copy editor and curling columnist for various publications, including the Waterloo Region Record and The Toronto Star, where training in NewsGate software was also provided. Brian's journalism expertise is supported by a degree in Journalism-Honours from Cambrian College.
