Lorraine Sommerfeld is a seasoned freelance writer and auto columnist, currently contributing to the Driving section of National Post and Postmedia Network Inc. since March 2014. In addition, Lorraine serves as the web host for AIA Canada's Curbside Chat! and is a novelist, having published the debut novel A Face in the Window in July 2023. Lorraine has been writing the Motherlode column for The Hamilton Spectator for nearly 20 years, showcasing a strong connection to the publication. Between 2012 and 2020, Lorraine hosted the Lemon-Aid Car Show on CHCH TV. Previous experience includes roles as a freelance writer for The Globe and Mail and the Toronto Star. Lorraine holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from McMaster University.
