Christina Brooks

Christina Brooks currently serves as the Senior Director of Community Initiatives at Hampton Roads Workforce Council, a position held since June 2010, where responsibilities include overseeing the development and implementation of community-based programs and fostering strategic partnerships for workforce development. Prior roles within the organization include Senior Director of NextGen Programs and Special Projects, Director of Youth Services, and Director of the Youth Career Center, focusing on youth initiatives, program management, and community outreach. Christina’s earlier experience includes roles as a Crisis Counselor at Response Sexual Assault Services of the YWCA, Teacher's Assistant and Student Employment Coordinator at Old Dominion University, and volunteer management with Americorps VISTA. Academic achievements include a Master of Science in Education with a focus on Mental Health Counseling from Old Dominion University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of North Carolina Asheville, complemented by a Certificate in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management from Tidewater Community College.
