Vice President and General Counsel at Hampton University

The Vice President and General Counsel serves as the chief legal officer for the University. This position is responsible for providing legal advice and counsel to the President, Board of Trustees, Administration and all other Departments and Divisions within the University. The General Counsel is also responsible for the selection and management of outside counsel when deemed appropriate in order to provide additional expertise and representation. The Vice President and General Counsel reports directly to the President and serves as a member of the Administrative Council. Direct reports to this position include, the Legal Assistant to the General Counsel and the Title IX Coordinator. Additionally, the General Counsel serves as Secretary to the Board of Trustees.
