Christie Downs

Christie Downs has a strong background in the construction and insurance industries. Christie started their career at Johns Lyng Group in 2004, where they held multiple roles including Executive Board Member and CX, Sales & Commercial Executive. Christie played a key role in growing the company and positioning it as an industry leader. In 2012, they joined Starlight Children's Foundation Australia as a Strategist, Chair, and Community Fundraiser. During their tenure, they successfully transformed and re-energized the fundraising event, doubling the funds raised and reducing costs. In 2016, Christie joined Carlton Football Club as GM Business Development, where they introduced creative growth strategies and managed important stakeholder relationships. Currently, they are the CEO and Co-Founder of handdii, a company focused on improving customer satisfaction in property claims by simplifying and speeding up the process.
