Brett Swensen has an extensive work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Brett started their career in 2004 as a Commercial Photographer at Swensen Photography, where they increased profits and collaborated with clients for advertisement satisfaction. In 2011, they served as the Chief Operating Officer at Shutter Speed Photography, where they improved processes and policies and collaborated with advertising managers.

In 2014, Brett joined 180fusion as a Strategic Marketing Manager and later became an Enterprise Account Manager. Brett developed online marketing strategies, evaluated ROI, and created monthly analytic reports.

From 2015 to 2016, they worked as the Director of Digital Marketing & Marketing Automation at FotoFly, where they aligned multiple domains, designed email campaigns, and implemented a marketing automation platform.

Brett then joined The Bride and Groom.com in 2010 as the VP of Marketing, responsible for media buys, cross-functional team leadership, and data trend analysis.

At Purple Innovation, from 2016 to 2019, Brett served as the Email & Marketing Automation Manager and later as the Director of Email & Marketing Automation. Brett leveraged machine learning and AI tools, led content strategy teams, and achieved engagement rates double the industry standard.

From 2019 onwards, Brett has held roles at Kizik and HandsFree Labs as the VP of Marketing and Senior Director of Marketing, respectively. Brett handled marketing responsibilities at both companies.

In 2022, they became an Advisor at Octane AI.

Additionally, in 2014, Brett founded Marketiering, where they developed a marketing automation strategy for a wedding show and rebuilt email marketing funnels for better ROI.

Brett Swensen began their education journey at Alta High School, where they attended from 2000 to 2004. After completing high school, they pursued further education in the field of sports and exercise at the National Academy of Sports Medicine from 2009 to 2010, earning a CPT certification.

In 2015, Brett joined Cornell University, where they focused on digital marketing and obtained a degree in Marketing Strategy. Brett attended Cornell University for one year, completing their education in 2016.

Aside from their formal education, Brett has also obtained several certifications to enhance their skillset. Notably, they achieved certifications such as Email Marketing Mastery from DigitalMarketer in January 2019 and the Hubspot Sales Certification from HubSpot Academy in February 2018. Brett also holds various certifications from Google, Microsoft, and HubSpot, including Google Adwords Certified, Bing Ads Accredited Professional, and HubSpot Certification. These certifications showcase their dedication to continuously learning and improving their expertise in the digital marketing field.
