Director Of Sustainability And Communications at Handsome Brook Farms

Sycamore May has a diverse range of work experience. At Handsome Brook Farms, they served as the Director of Sustainability and Communications, leading sustainability programs and coordinating philanthropic efforts. They also worked as a Sustainability Manager, overseeing company initiatives and managing budgets. Prior to that, Sycamore was a Project Manager, conducting research on water quality and nutrient management for organic egg farmers. They also have experience with Food Tank as a Research and Writing Fellow, supporting research on health, nutrition, and environmental policy. Additionally, Sycamore worked as an Urban Farm Educator, teaching urban farming workshops and managing urban farms. They also played a key role in creating the first organic vegetable subscription service at the University of London as a Lead Organizer and Executive Consultant at City Food Coop. Lastly, they worked as a Research Assistant at School Food Matters, analyzing data on food policies and leading workshops for children.

Sycamore May began their education at Horace Greeley High School from 2007 to 2011, where they completed their high school education. Following this, they attended Emerson College from 2011 to 2015 and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts with a focus on Writing, Literature & Publishing. Later, between 2017 and 2018, they pursued higher education at City, University of London, where they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Food Policy.
