Kirk Brown

Kirk Brown has a strong background in nonprofit leadership, government consulting, and academia. Kirk began their career at HANDY, Inc. as the Senior VP of Programs and Business Development, where they successfully managed program budgets and obtained significant funding. Kirk then served as the Statewide Independent Living Director at the Florida Department of Children and Families, providing guidance and support for Independent Living services. Kirk also worked at the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity as a Government Operations Consultant, offering policy guidance and monitoring program implementation. In addition, they worked as an Adjunct Professor at Florida State University, providing instruction in social work courses. Most recently, Kirk held the position of Chief Executive Officer at HANDY, Inc., leading strategic initiatives and overseeing the organization's educational programs. Throughout their career, Kirk has demonstrated a commitment to improving the lives of marginalized and at-risk individuals.

Kirk Brown has a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Barry University. Kirk completed this degree in an unspecified time period.
