Richard Braswell

Director Of Information Technology at HANFORD JOINT UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT

Richard Braswell has over 17 years of work experience in the field of information technology. Richard started their career as an MIS technician at Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino in January 2004 and worked there until October 2006. Richard then joined Kings count office of education as a LAN Support Technician from October 2006 to December 2007.

In December 2007, Richard joined Hanford Joint Union High School District as a Data Services Technician. In this role, they set up workstations, checked computer hardware, installed and configured software, developed and maintained local networks, ensured security and privacy of networks, and performed troubleshooting. Richard held this position until July 2010 when they were promoted to the role of Data Services Technician II.

Richard continued working at Hanford Joint Union High School District and became the Network and Systems Coordinator in July 2014. In this role, they were responsible for managing the physical and logical network and its services, including servers, switches, routers, wireless, paging, content filtering, virus protection, phones, and cameras. Richard also provided help and information regarding network hardware and software operations.

In July 2018, Richard was promoted to the position of Information Technology Manager at the same organization. As the IT Manager, they were responsible for overseeing the district's information technology functions.

Most recently, in July 2022, Richard was promoted to the role of Director Of Information Technology at Hanford Joint Union High School District.

Richard Braswell attended Heald College from 2003 to 2005, where they earned an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Network and System Administration/Administrator. Prior to that, from 2001 to 2003, Richard attended College of the Sequoias, where they also received an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree. The field of study for their degree from College of the Sequoias is not specified. Additionally, Richard Braswell obtained the Certified Chief Technology Officer (CCTO) certification from CITE California IT in Education in December 2021.
