Nelisile Thanjekwayo

Nelisile Thanjekwayo is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in corporate law and compliance. Currently serving as a Board Member at the Gauteng Industrial Development Zone and as the Group Legal and Compliance Manager at Hans Merensky Holdings since October 2021, Nelisile brings a wealth of knowledge from previous roles, including Legal Counsel at Shell, where responsibilities included providing comprehensive legal support to the South African Downstream business. Prior experience at Norton Rose Fulbright as an Associate focused on competition law and anti-trust matters. Nelisile's academic credentials include two Master of Laws degrees in International Law and Economics, as well as Commercial and Business Law, and a Bachelor of Laws degree, all from the University of the Witwatersrand.
