Ingrid Hallin has extensive work experience in the medical and pharmaceutical fields. Ingrid started their career as a nurse at Lunds Lasarett, where they worked in surgery, orthopedics, and intensive care. Ingrid also spent a summer working at Tromsø Hospital in Norway. In 1991, they joined Pharmacia & Upjohn AB as a biologist and laboratory engineer, where they were involved in preclinical phase studies for oncology projects. Ingrid conducted mass balance, metabolism, and pharmacokinetic studies using techniques such as HPLC and plasma protein binding. Ingrid also worked as a monitor in a clinical study. In 1998, they moved to Active Biotech Research AB as a biolog and laboratory engineer. Their responsibilities included analyzing clinical samples using ELISA and conducting in vitro metabolism and drug-drug interaction studies. In 2011, they transitioned to Active Biotech, where they served as a metaboliker/laboratorieningenjör. In this role, they were responsible for planning, performing, and reporting studies in drug discovery, metabolism, toxicity, and pharmacokinetics. Ingrid utilized various techniques, such as cell-based assays, ELISA, HPLC, and PCR. In 2016, they joined Hansa Medical as a research engineer.
Ingrid Hallin pursued their education in a chronological manner. Ingrid began their education in 1977 at Blekinge vårdskola, where they completed their Grundutbildning sjuksköterska (Basic Nursing) degree in 1979. In 1984, they attended Vårdskolan Malmö for a Vidareutbildning sjuksköterska medicin/kirurgi (Advanced Education in Medical/Surgical Nursing) program, which they completed the same year. Finally, from 1985 to 1991, Ingrid Hallin studied at Lund University, where they obtained a Master of Science in Biology degree.
