Kieran Slater's work experience spans several roles in different companies. Kieran started their career as an athlete in the sport of archery, representing Team GB from 2010 to 2017. After that, they pursued a Bachelor of Physics degree at the University of Leicester from 2012 to 2015.
In 2016, Slater became a Performance Coach at Archery GB, a role they held until 2018. During this time, they also started their postgraduate studies in Computer Science at the University of Birmingham, which lasted from 2018 to 2019.
Starting in 2019, Slater transitioned into the tech industry as a Cryptography Intern at Fetch.AI. During their internship, they worked on a project involving privacy-preserving data sharing through blockchain technologies. Kieran then joined Friend MTS as a Software Developer, working on various projects such as developing software to tackle online piracy and video streaming and processing. Kieran worked with technologies such as GoLang, Severless AWS, Lambda, Step Functions, Gitlab CI/CD, RabbitMQ, PostgresSQL, and REST API.
Currently, Slater is working as a Software Developer at Happening, where they specialize in GoLang development, data processing, API development, and working with AWS DynamoDB and Apache Kafka.
Kieran Slater pursued their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Physics with Astrophysics at the University of Leicester from 2012 to 2015. Subsequently, they went on to obtain their MSc in Computer Science from the University of Birmingham, specializing in Computer Science, during the period of 2018 to 2019.
