Nicola Galombik

Founder And Board Director at Harambee Youth Employment Accelerator

Nicola Galombik has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Nicola started their career as a Television Producer at Free Film Makers in 1987 and later moved on to work as the Head of Local Content at the Independent Broadcasting Authority from 1994 to 1996. Nicola then joined SABC where they served as the Head of Television Strategy & Head of Educational Broadcasting from 1996 to 2003, leading and managing commercial and programming strategies for SABC's 3 Television channels. In 2004, Nicola became the Managing Director at Converse Consulting, Resolve Group, a position they held until 2009. In 2010, they founded the Harambee Youth Employment Accelerator and served as a Board Director. Additionally, Nicola also held the role of Executive Director at Yellowwoods Holdings from 2010 onwards.

Nicola Galombik holds a Bachelor's degree in Film, Politics & Psychology from the University of the Witwatersrand, which they obtained from 1985 to 1989. Nicola also completed a Master's degree in Cinema and Media Studies at New York University from 1990 to 1991. Additionally, Nicola is currently pursuing a degree in Leadership for Systems Change at Harvard University, starting in 2022. Nicola also completed a Global Executive Development Programme in Business at the GIBS Business School.
