Rasoul Alikhani Koupaei Ph.D.

Rasoul Alikhani Koupaei PhD, DCC, DABCC, FCACB, FACB is an accomplished professional in the field of clinical chemistry and biochemistry, currently serving as Associate Professor at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and Director of Clinical Chemistry, Special Chemistry, and POCT at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. Previously, Rasoul held the position of Chief and CLIA Laboratory Director at the Genetic Disease Laboratory Branch from July 2015 to December 2020, contributing to the Genetic Disease Screening Program of the California Department of Public Health. Additional experience includes roles as Clinical Biochemist at IWK Health Centre and North York General Hospital, as well as Assistant Professor at Dalhousie University from 2008 to July 2015. Rasoul completed a Ph.D. in Clinical Biochemistry at the University of Bern and received clinical chemistry training at the University of Toronto.
