Ryan Phan

Ryan Phan, MD, is currently an Anesthesiology Resident at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center since July 2021. Ryan's academic background includes a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus (2017-2021) and a Bachelor of Science in Science Pre-Professional Studies and Anthropology from the University of Notre Dame (2012-2016). Prior roles include serving as a Resident Assistant at Notre Dame, where the position is designated for seniors in single-gender residence halls. Ryan has extensive research experience, including studies on ovarian cancer metastasis in the Stack Lab and pulmonary diseases under Andrew Fontenot, M.D. Additionally, Ryan contributed as a teaching assistant for General Biology and Organic Chemistry laboratory courses, fostering students’ experimental design and practical skills. Earlier experience includes research and volunteer positions focused on health care and pathology, further solidifying a foundation in medical and scientific inquiry.
