Bert van der Stege

Bert van der Stege has extensive experience in the aviation industry, having held various leadership roles in renowned companies. Bert is currently the CEO of Harbour Air Seaplanes since October 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Commercial & Finance at Swoop from January 2020 to October 2022. Before that, they were the Vice President & Chief Commercial Officer at Halifax Stanfield - Halifax International Airport Authority from October 2016 to December 2019. Bert also served as the Vice President Commercial & Chief Restructuring Officer at First Air from November 2013 to October 2016. Bert held the position of Commercial Director at RwandAir Ltd from January 2012 to October 2013, and as Vice President Planning & Marketing at Arik Air from September 2010 to January 2012. Earlier in their career, Bert worked at Lufthansa Group in various roles including Head of Sales & Marketing Loyalty Miles & More and Manager Strategy & Alliances. Bert began their career as a Management Trainee at Lufthansa Consulting in 1999 and then at Lufthansa in 1996.

Bert van der Stege holds an MSc in International Business from London South Bank University (2001-2002). Bert also obtained a BSc in International Business & Languages from Hanzehogeschool Groningen / Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen (1997-2001). Additionally, they earned a BA in International Business from Auckland University of Technology (1999-2000).
