Michael Fail

Michael Fail has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Michael currently serves as the Director of Engineering, both for Product and Platform, at Hard Rock Digital since 2022. Prior to this, they worked for Blackbaud from 2018 to 2022, where they held roles such as Manager of Software Development and Sr. Manager of Software Development. Michael also worked at General Motors as a Sr Program and Development Manager from 2013 to 2018. Before that, Michael was an Application, Software Development, and OPS Manager at Bank of America from 2006 to 2013. Michael began their career at Home Depot as a Sr. IT Application Developer in 2006 and worked there until later that year. Michael also worked as a Software Engineer at Catalis Health from 2005 to 2006 and as a Senior Software Engineer at Tonic Software from 2001 to 2005.

Michael Fail attended the University of South Carolina from 1997 to 1999, where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering. In February 2021, they obtained a certification in Software Architecture Foundations from LinkedIn. Additionally, in January 2021, they acquired a certification in Managing in a Matrixed Organization, also from LinkedIn.
