Serame Maetle

Serame Maetle has a diverse work experience in finance and auditing. Serame started their career as an Auditor at PwC Service Delivery Center from 2005 to 2007. Serame then worked as an Audit Manager at PwC, focusing on audit planning, risk identification, and compliance with various regulations. In 2008, they joined Harmony Gold Mining Company Limited as a Costs Accountant, where they maintained and managed the costing structure. Serame later became a Management Accountant, responsible for forecasting, variance analysis, and scenario analysis. Serame then moved on to the role of Financial Manager at Harmony Gold, where they handled budgeting, forecasting, and review of financial statements. From 2011 to 2014, they worked as a Financial Manager for Corporate Reporting, handling external reporting and review of financial statements. In 2014, they became the Financial Manager at Doornkop Mine, focusing on budgeting, forecasting, and the review of the mine's business plan. From 2015 to 2021, they served as the Head of Finance and Risk Manager at Harmony Gold, leading financial analysis, forecasting, and risk assessment. In 2016, they also took on a role as a Board Trustee at Mineworkers Provident Fund, where they served on various board committees and chaired the investment committee. Throughout their career, Serame Maetle has gained extensive experience in finance, budgeting, forecasting, auditing, and risk management.

Serame Maetle attended the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants from 2001 to 2008, where they earned a degree in Charted Accountant South Africa. Serame'sstudies focused on Accounting, Auditing, Management Accounting, and Taxation. In 2004, they also briefly attended the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting Sciences. From 2001 to 2003, Serame Maetle pursued another Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Auditing, Management Accounting, and Taxation at the same university.
