Mark Kricheff

Dr. Kricheff has been practicing emergency medicine full-time since 1994 and clinical informatics part-time since 1998. Dr. Kricheff received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Film and Television from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts with a minor in computer science. He then completed a post-bachelor’s pre-med program at Hunter College-City University of New York. His M.D. degree was received from SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, New York. He completed his residency in emergency medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia in 1997 and became Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM) and a Fellow of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine in 1999. After residency, he practiced in the Hollywood-Ft. Lauderdale, Florida area before moving to Indiana in 2003. He received his MPH degree in Public Health Informatics from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2007, at which time he joined the clinical advisory team at the Michiana Health Information Network (MHIN). He was one of two Medical Directors of Clinical Informatics at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center (South Bend-Mishawaka, IN) during the enterprise-wide implementation of CPOE from 2007 to 2009. Dr. Kricheff was the medical director for MHIN from 2011 until 2021. In 2015 he became the first local physician to achieve Board Certification in Clinical Informatics (ABPM). He was a member of the St. Joseph County Board of Health from 2013-2017. Dr. Kricheff served as emergency department champion and physician superuser for the Trinity Health system’s transition from Cerner to Epic EHR in 2021. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Emergency Medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine at the South Bend Campus. He currently serves as vice-president of the medical staff for St. Joseph Health System in Mishawaka, Indiana.
