Leanne Toshiko Simpson is an accomplished lecturer and author currently serving at the University of Toronto, where notable achievements include developing the institution's first BIPOC literature course and a new literary disability studies course. With a background as a senior editor and communications manager at Bell, Leanne has contributed to internal communication strategies and social media initiatives that emphasize diversity and mental health. As an author, Leanne's upcoming novel, "NEVER BEEN BETTER," is set to release in March 2024. Leanne's commitment to mental health advocacy is demonstrated through previous roles, including co-founding Resilience Writers and directing partnerships for InkWell Workshops.
