David Klaasen has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. David started their career as a professional chef in various renowned hotels and restaurants. Later, they became a catering lecturer at BT Catering College, where they developed modules to enhance performance and quality in catering and corporate hospitality. After that, they founded DCK Training and worked as a self-employed trainer and hospitality consultant. During this time, they produced training videos for Rank Hotels and Banqueting, linking culinary skills to NVQ qualifications, and provided kitchen redesign and menu improvement services for a Mediterranean restaurant.
David then worked as a training and development manager at Waldorf Hotel London, where they were responsible for implementing NVQs and a nationally accredited management development program. David also created an award-winning values-based development program.
Following this, David served as an HR specialist at Business Link for London, where they provided strategic HR management advice to directors of client businesses and assisted them in implementing balanced business scorecards, key performance indicators, and management information systems. David also advised clients on employment law, drafted employment contracts and HR policies, and delivered a bespoke management development program.
Later, David joined Inspiring Business Performance as a specialist adviser, where they worked until 2014. During this time, they provided consulting services to help businesses improve their performance and achieve their goals.
In 2015, David took on multiple roles. David worked as the director of Talent4Performance, where they helped organizations improve their performance by focusing on strategic clarity, engaged and accountable people, and mindset, habit, and behavior shifts. David was also the UK solutions partner, trainer, and consultant at Harrison Assessments International, providing unique insights to unleash performance in teams and individuals.
Additionally, David served as a director at Inspired Working, focusing on driving profits by focusing on people and performance. However, they decided to shift their full attention to Talent4Performance.
Throughout their career, David has demonstrated a passion for developing individuals and organizations, enhancing performance, and creating a culture of engagement and accountability.
David Klaasen has a diverse education history in various fields. In 1999-2001, they pursued a Post Graduate Professional degree in Strategic HR at the Fellow Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). In 2019, they attended International Training Seminars (ITS) and obtained a Practitioner in Brain and Behaviour Change degree, specializing in Applied Neuroscience. From 2017 to 2018, David studied Psychometric Profiling and Assessments at Harrison Assessments International. In 2009-2012, they gained expertise in Marketing Strategy and Tactics through the Marketing Wizdom Eureka Prog. (Robert Clay). David also trained in Language and Behavioural Profiling, becoming a LAB Profile Trainer, Coach, Group Coach, and Consultant, at Success Strategies (Shelle Rose Charvet) from 2004 to 2011. Additionally, they became an NLP Master Practitioner at Sensory Systems (John McWhirter) in 1996-1997. More recently, in 2020, David obtained certification as a Mental Health First Aider and completed a Mental Health First Aid course through Mental Health First Aid UK. David also obtained several certifications in Recruitment Accreditation, Employee Development Accreditation, and Debriefing & Coaching Accreditation from Harrison Assessments International, with the most recent being in 2021.
