Mike Nelson

Mike Nelson is a seasoned European patent attorney and the managing partner of HGF GmbH in Basel since January 2013. With expertise in pharmaceutical patent drafting and prosecution, oppositions, patent term extensions, SPCs, regulatory data exclusivity, and IP due diligence, Mike brings extensive experience from previous roles as a partner at AstraZeneca and principal patent attorney at Avecia. Earlier positions include patent attorney roles at Zeneca Specialties and research scientist at Nortel Networks. Mike holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Imperial College London, earned between 1985 and 1988, and has foundational education from Peel College in Bury from 1983 to 1985.
