Ira Edelblum

Ira Edelblum has over 30 years of experience in the investment management industry. Ira currently holds the position of EVP - Head of Public Fixed Income Investments at Hartford Investment Management (HIMCO) since January 2013. Prior to this, they served as EVP - Senior Portfolio Manager and Head of Investment Grade Credit Sector at HIMCO from August 2009 to January 2013. Before joining HIMCO, Ira worked at Bear Stearns Asset Management from October 2004 to November 2008 as a Senior Managing Director and Senior Fixed Income Portfolio Manager. Ira also worked at Times Square Capital Management from July 1999 to October 2004 as a Managing Director and Senior Fixed Income Portfolio Manager. Ira started their career at Credit Suisse Asset Management in July 1984 as a Director and Fixed Income Portfolio Manager, and they remained with the company until June 1999. Throughout their career, Ira has demonstrated expertise in fixed income investments and has held a variety of senior positions.

Ira Edelblum pursued their education in a chronological manner. From 1980 to 1984, they attended the University at Albany, SUNY, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business/Finance. Following this, they pursued further education at the NYU Stern School of Business from 1985 to 1989, where they completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Finance.
